From Thinking to Building: My 5 Goals for 2025

Did you know that studies show 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail by February?
It’s a striking statistic, but it doesn’t mean we should give up on them entirely.
Resolutions have value—they push us to pause, reflect, and consider what truly matters.
They ground us, give us direction, and inspire a sense of purpose as we step into a new year.
As we step into 2025, I’m setting goals that reflect who I am and what I want to accomplish this year.
Here are my five main goals for the year, each inspired by a quote that resonates deeply with me.
1. Think
“Thinking time is the gift that keeps on giving.”
— The Road Less Stupid – Keith J. Cunningham
Last year, I spent too much time in the trenches, tackling urgent problems and putting out fires. I missed having time to pause and think. This year, I’m ready to unwrap the thinking time gift on a daily basis.
I plan to starting every day with 1 hour of dedicated thinking time—a space for strategic work and reflection.
To make this happen, I’ll take control of my agenda, ensuring that most meetings start after 11 a.m., leaving one day a week open for the unexpected.
2. Write
“Writing is thinking. To write well is to think clearly. That’s why it’s so hard.”
If you’ve known me for a while, you know that I love writing. But over the last few years, I’ve been so busy that writing took a backseat. This year, I’m making it a priority.
Every week, I’ll also share my thoughts and perspectives on my blog.

Writing helps me clarify my own thinking and I believe there’s value in sharing the process —the highs, the lows, and the lessons along the way. It feels like a small but powerful way to connect with the world.
3. Build
“We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us.”
This year, I’m diving into a project that’s close to my heart: Share The Nest. It’s a space for team retreats in the south of Spain. We already have the building, and renovations are set to begin soon. I’m thrilled to work on something so tangible, something I can touch, see, and feel.

For most of my career, I’ve worked with abstract concepts like systems, processes, workshops, and training. While those are rewarding in their own way, there’s something magical about creating something physical.
This year, I am ready to build something real.
4. Share
“When you build in public, you create a virtuous cycle of learning, feedback, and improvement.”
Sharing has given me so much since I started my entrepreneurial journey. I’ve learned that when you give something to the world, it often returns with compounded interest—not just for yourself but for others, too.
This year, I plan to document the journey of building The Nest in public, sharing regular updates about the progress.

There’s something energizing about opening up the process, inviting collaboration, and learning as you go.
I’m excited to continue building a community that thrives on transparency and sharing.
When we open our plans to others, we invite accountability, collaboration, and unexpected growth.
5. Learn
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” — Henry Ford
This year, I’m super excited about learning.
I plan to dive deeper into AI studies at university while experimenting with my brother Kike through our Bit2Brain projects. It feels like a kid with new toys to explore what’s possible in this rapidly evolving field.

Beyond AI, I want to continue learning about change and transformation management, self-managed organizations, and building teams that thrive.
These areas not only align with my professional goals but also feed my curiosity about how we, as individuals and groups, can adapt and excel in a constantly changing world.
Charting the Path Forward
Goals have a way of grounding us, of giving us a purpose and direction to aim for.
I’ve shared mine with the hope that they might spark some inspiration in you, too.
