Claude Certification: My Experience Becoming a Claude Certified Architect

Claude Certification: My Experience Becoming a Claude Certified Architect

Last week, I passed the Claude Certified Architect exam after three months of studying and preparing.

Between work, family and everything else going on in life, finding time to study takes some effort. Choosing to dedicate that time to something is also a strategic decision For me, this felt important enough to make the space for it.

And to be honest, I was a little nervous.

At Share Enterprises, we are investing quite a lot of time to become claude certified, and ten people from our team need to become certified as part of the partner pathway we are following.

In this post, I want to share why we decided to take this step, what the Claude certification process looked like for us and what helped me prepare.

Why Claude Architect Certification?

A few months ago, we started receiving more requests from companies looking for help with AI adoption.

Some were experimenting with AI.
Others had already purchased licenses but were struggling to get people to use them meaningfully.
The questions often went beyond the technology:

  • How do we prepare our teams?
  • Which activities should we start with?
  • What needs to change in the way we work?

This interests me because it brings together two areas I love.

The first is adoption and change. I have spent years helping organizations introduce technology, and I have seen how much depends on understanding people and their everyday work.

The second is AI itself. Since I discovered AI, I have been fascinated by its possibilities. But the more I explore, the more I realize how much there is to learn.

At Share Enterprises, we are exploring launching a business focused entirely on AI adoption.

AI will require people to rethink much of how they work, from everyday tasks to how they collaborate and make decisions.

The biggest challenge will be human, rather than technical.

We want to help people feel ready for that shift and support them through it.

The Claude architect certification gave us a structured way to start doing that with a strong partner like Anthropic.

Becoming a Claude Certified Architect: A personal Investment

Becoming a Claude Certified Architect is a personal investment too.

I believe learning AI is one of the most important things we can do for our careers right now, and I want to understand it well enough to make informed decisions and build something useful.

People with practical AI expertise are becoming super valuable as more companies adopt it. For me, dedicating time to learning is a way to build confidence, open up new opportunities and take an active role in shaping my own future.

Becoming an Anthropic Claude Certified Architect

Our decision to pursue certification was connected to our application to become an Anthropic partner.

In the pathway we are following, ten people from Share Enterprises need to become certified. So this has been a team learning effort, not simply an individual goal.

Alongside the courses, we organized weekly internal webinars with my brother Enrique, who works professionally with AI and knows the platform well.

We brought questions from the training, discussed concepts and worked through exercises together. Often, something that had felt abstract in a video became clearer when Kike explained it through a practical situation.

This combination worked very well.

The courses provide structure and flexibility. The live sessions created space to ask questions, compare our understanding and practise.

I recommend combining practical workshops and regular conversations because they can make a significant difference. Completing a course and feeling confident enough to apply what you learned are not always the same thing.

Claude Certification: The Process

Our preparation began with four on-demand courses on Skilljar, the platform used for the training partners.

If you are exploring the available learning resources right now, Claude Academy is a useful starting point.

I want to be honest about the experience: I did not always find the courses on Skilljar easy to follow.

The content was still new when we took it. Some videos were long, and certain concepts needed more explanation or practical examples. Having spent quite a few years developing learning content, I found myself thinking about how the learning journey could be made easier.

What helped enormously was being able to ask AI.

When something did not make sense, I asked Claude to explain it differently, use a simpler example or walk me through it step by step.

Sometimes I needed several explanations. And that is one of the things I appreciate about learning with AI: you can keep asking without feeling uncomfortable about not understanding yet.

Preparing for the Claude Certified Architect Exam

Once you work through the training, I recommend to spend more time practising exam questions.

The questions at the end of the courses were helpful. I also used the independent Claude Certification Guide mock exam, which I found particularly useful. It is a third-party preparation resource, not an official Anthropic exam.

Practising helped me identify what I understood and what I needed to revisit. It also helped me get used to reading the questions carefully.

My advice is to spend time on the answers you get wrong.

Instead of moving straight to another attempt, go back to the concept. Ask for an explanation, work through an example and try to understand why one answer fits better than another.

For me, that process was more useful than simply repeating questions to improve my score.

After three months of preparation, I still had things to review. But I had a clearer picture of where I needed to focus.

Taking the Claude Certified Architect — Foundations (CCA-F) Exam

You can find the registration details on the Claude Certified Architect—Foundations certification page.

When I took the exam, the fee was $125. The exam is delivered through Pearson VUE, with online-proctored and test-centre options. Check the registration information before booking, as fees and conditions can change.

If you take it online, you need to prepare your environment and equipment according to the provider’s instructions. There are checks to ensure you are alone and do not have access to unauthorized materials or applications.

Make time for that preparation too.

For me, passing was a welcome moment after the time we had invested. But it is still only one part of what we are building.

At Share Enterprises, we are planning a business line focused on enterprise AI adoption, probably early next year. Working towards becoming an Anthropic partner is part of that preparation.

I personally like Claude’s capabilities, and I connect with Anthropic’s attention to the human implications of AI.

There is plenty we still need to learn. The certification is the foundation to build on the next steps.

If you are considering Claude certification, I hope my experience helps you prepare. Give yourself time, find people to learn with and make room for practice. The exam is a useful milestone; applying what you learn is where the work continues.
